How do you get people to hang out with you in 2nd semster? Front load friendship hours during September and October!
First Things First
- Always start with PRAYER
- In the Spirit
- A part of your regular abiding time
- Pray the campus as you’re walking around
- Acknowledge and address the FEAR
- Being liked
- Not having the answers
- Failing
- Jesus Early, Jesus Often
What are wins?
- Meeting someone new and inviting them to do something with you
- Getting to pray for someone
- Having a Jesus conversation with someone
- Walking with someone as they come to faith
- Your Core Group becoming friends
- People wanting to hang out with you and come to your events in October, November and into second semester
What would we consider a bad or failed conversation?
- Not having a conversation or meeting anyone
- The new people you meet have no idea you’re a Christian
Our expectations as staff
- To be on campus 4x a week
- To meet 1 new student every time we’re on campus (or 4 a week)
- Lead at least 1 person to Christ every year
- Meet 15 freshman
- Build & lead a core group
- Recommend 1-3 people to Apprenticeship each year
