LOVE

Jesus once summed up the entire Bible in this way, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself." Every message, every shared meal, every confrontation, every large group or small is done out of love for Him and for others

INVITE

Culture today tells us that if you can't do it on your own, you're a failure. But the Word of God tells us to not go it alone. Faith is supposed to be lived out in community with other believers. And those that don't know Jesus are to be welcomed too. If Jesus ate with those who had opposing views and lifestyles, so should we.

SERVE

Jesus came to serve and told us to do likewise. We serve the campus and other student organizations by giving of our time and resources. If Chi Alpha were to ever be removed from the campus; we would want the school to miss us and the services we provided. We also serve the community of Green Bay.

TRANSFORM

Every student GIVES to missionaries and mission projects. Every student GOES on mission trips and we ask every student to consider giving a year to missions and to pray about a lifetime. Every student PRAYS for missionaries around the world. Every student WELCOMES international students into our community.

KAI/ (like the first part of the word "kite" minus the "te")

fuh/(as in fun)

In the Bible, the apostle Paul wrote in
2 Corinthians 5:20,
"We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God."

Our movement of campus ministries finds its identity in this passage. We believe that God longs to have each and every person be reconciled to Himself, and that the way that reconnection happens is through the representation of his people. Each of us who takes on the identity of "Christian" becomes Christ's ambassadors - or christou apostoloi in Greek, which we shorten to the first letters "Chi" and "Alpha" or XA. Our name is our constant reminder that each of us has a real part to play in this world. We each carry Him within us to bring Him closer to the people around us.

WHO WE ARE

We are a Spirit-empowered, diverse community of believers on university campuses in Wisconsin and Northern Michigan, declaring in word and lifestyle our faith in Jesus Christ, equipped to fulfill our purpose in God's global plan. We meet in all sorts of settings and sizes. These gatherings are informal, charged with music, given to humor, and deal with everything from relationships to the nature of truth. We desire to meet with God, meet among friends, and meet real needs around us.
